Stones Throw podcast time. Looks like it’s the last one for 2007, and what better way to go out than to recruit one of the founding fathers of the Beat Junkie crew, Rettmatic, to go nuts with the doughnuts. Not so much a round-up of Stones Throw’s blistering releases from the past year, instead podcast #26 takes in some classic Lootpack, Quasimoto and Madvillain cuts from the vaults, amongst more recent selections. Consider this a peace-maker for the label’s decision to make fans pony up the dough for this year’s Christmas effort Badd Santa. A compilation courtesy of Peanut Butter Wolf, it happens to be comprised mostly of tracks that showed up in his Holiday Mix podcast from last year.
