Oh no he didn’t! Yes, Peanut Butter Wolf went and shamed us out of the building. As reported in an earlier post, the end of 2007 wasn’t going to be a kind year for Stones Throw fans expecting their festive podcast hit. With the Badd Santa CD going on sale at retail for, shock horror, real money, things looked bleak. But no! The Wolf has kept up his end of the bargain and delivered Badd Santa’s Xmas After Party, a podcast mix to go alongside the main release. Many of the tracks appearing on the podcast are from the CD but in mix form, rather than being wrapped up in a compilation. Notable favourite at bosbos towers has to be Quad City DJs/69 Boyz/K-Nock miami bass banger ‘What You Want For Christmas’, which has found it’s way from the disc to the podcast. After a stellar year packed full of great releases, it’s nothing less than you’d expect from one of the best labels keeping the west coast of the US (and the rest of the world) on fire. Merry Christmas, Stones Throw, and here’s to a(nother) Happy New Year.
